Under the label “The Charles Taylor Wars”, an international lineup of illustrators and artists – Danijel Žeželj, Séra,Greg Ruth, George Pratt, Lorenzo Mattotti, Nic Klein, Thierry Van Hasselt, Benjamin Flaó, David Von Bassewitz – create a crossover version of the reports, merging illustration, photography and written word. Through the collaboration of artists, photographer, author as well as eyewitnesses, Black.Light Project creates the fragments for 15 different stories in a series of workshops. The work will be presented in galleries and public venues on three continents, Europe, Africa and the United States and later on published in a book.At the Browse Fotofestival Berlin 2012 work in progress will be shown in the shape of an  outdoor exhibit of 5 mixed media picture bands mounted on a scaffold in the public park adjacent to the main festival area at Besselpark/Friedrichstr.—

Unter dem Oberthema „The Charles-Taylor-Wars“ entwickeln 9 Zeichner und Illustratoren der internationalen Comic- und Grafikart Szene – Danijel Žeželj, Séra,Greg Ruth, George Pratt, Lorenzo Mattotti, Nic Klein, Thierry Van Hasselt, Benjamin Flaó, David Von Bassewitz – eine Crossover-Version der Reportage, die Text, Foto und Illustration miteinander verschmelzt. In mehreren öffentlichkeitswirksamen Workshops mit Zeichnern, Fotograf, Autor und Zeitzeugen aus Westafrika entstehen die Fragmente für fünfzehn Geschichten dieser Form der graphischen Reportage. Die Ergebnisse werden in drei Kontinenten, Europa, Afrika und den USA, in öffentlichen Räumen oder entsprechenden Ausstellungsräumen präsentiert und anschließend als Buchform veröffentlicht. Auf dem Festival wird das Projekt als Work in Progress gezeigt. Auf einem 35 m langen Bilderband werden 5 der geplanten 15 mixed media Geschichten auf dem Festivalgelände unter freiem Himmel präsentiert.
